Discovery challenges (ages 10-14)

Typically completed by 10-14 year olds (Key Stages 2 and 3), students work collaboratively on a five hour project or challenge in self-managed groups. They record and reflect on their work during the project, using a CREST Discovery passport, and communicate their findings as a group presentation.

Coding Your challenge:

Coding Your challenge: Develop a new idea for an app that will enrich the classroom. Nanotechnology Your challenge: How would you introduce nanotechnology into your school? How could it enrich the student experience? Ergonomics Your challenge: Pick a group in your school and develop a new type of classroom for them to use. Magnetism Your challenge: What technology would you like to miniaturise, and what will the benefit of this be in the classroom? Electricity Your challenge: Propose a plan for using electricity generation sources close to your school. This could include introducing new technology and materials into the school.
